Fifth Anniversary Party August 25th-26th

August 24, 2023

It's time to celebrate our 5-year anniversary! Thank you to everyone who has supported us - from our humble beginnings off the back alley, the to-go cocktails and alleyway seating during COVID, to helping us haul away broken concrete and brick from our new location, you've been there for us. Dry Land wouldn't be here without you, and we're forever grateful.

So we're throwing a party! Join us both Friday, August 25th and Saturday, August, 26th for food, drinks, and festivities. Our boozy popsicles will make a guest appearance, we'll have live music, delicious food from our beloved pop-up chefs, a community chalk mural, a special cocktail menu that celebrates the best recipes from our restaurant partners, guest mixologists - and most importantly, we're releasing our first 2-Year Straight Colorado Antero Wheat Whiskey.

As always, kids, families, well-behaved canines, and friends are welcome.

What a weekend! We hope you'll join us both days. The schedule of events is below.

Friday, August 25

3 pm - Close: Boozy Popsicles (Available while supplies last.)

AKA Dry Land Frozen Cocktails on a Stick - Back by popular demand, we'll be offering our spiked popsicles both Friday and Saturday! We created these frozen treats during our COVID shutdown, and it's time to bring them back for a guest appearance. Flavors have included Watermelon Margarita, Lavender Lemonade, Spiked Creamsicle and more. Anniversary flavors will be seasonal and delicious!

4 pm: Anniversary Whiskey Release

Dry Land Distillers Anniversary Release Straight Antero Wheat Whiskey - We're releasing our first 2-year Straight 100% Colorado Antero Wheat Whiskey starting Friday, August 25th at 4 pm. Dry Land Antero Wheat Whiskey is crafted from 100% native Colorado Antero wheat grown just east of the distillery by Marc Arnusch Farms. The grain is a true Colorado original. It was developed in the 1980s as a collaboration between local Colorado growers and Colorado State University to create a resilient and environmentally appropriate grain for the Colorado climate.

Today, we're the only distiller crafting a single grain whiskey from the Antero wheat. It's a 50-mile whiskey, with the grain being malted by Troubadour Maltings in Ft Collins and distilled on site at the distillery in Longmont. The Antero Wheat Whiskey is loaded with black cherry and plum notes, complex spices including cinnamon and pepper, and supported by a backbone of balanced tannins from the charred oak barrel.

The distillery will release 100 bottles of the Anniversary Whiskey - only available for purchase at the Distillery.

6 - 7:30 pm: Live Music - Alison Dozar (Singer/Songwriter)
